Votes at a glance: Council approves body armor grant, Falls Park conference center agreement and other items

Greenville City Council approved several items on the consent and regular agendas, including a grant appropriation for police body armor and a development agreement for a downtown conference center.

An ordinance (item 15B) to appropriate $55,211 in the miscellaneous grants fund was approved to record an award from the Bureau of Justice Assistance Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program with matching funds from the Law Enforcement Special Revenue Fund to purchase body armor for the Greenville Police Department.
