Brookfield Ethics Board re-elects chair, updates rules of procedure

The Brookfield Ethics Board re-elected Monica Riederer as chair and Christopher Steffe as vice-chair at its June 22 meeting and approved updated Rules of Procedure.

Member Mark Nelson moved, seconded by Vice-Chair Christopher Steffe, to nominate Monica Riederer for chair; Riederer accepted and the motion was recorded as carried. Nelson then moved, seconded by Riederer, to nominate Christopher Steffe for vice-chair; that motion also carried. The minutes record both officer elections as carried by the full board.

The board subsequently considered and approved updated Rules of Procedure on a motion by Mark Nelson, seconded by Monica Riederer. The minutes record the motion as carried 3-0, formally adopting the updated procedures.

The board approved the September 15, 2022 minutes earlier in the meeting; Mark Nelson abstained from that vote because he was not a member of the board in 2022. The meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
