Selectmen review CCI broadband contract as town budgets are finalized

Town Manager Billings presented a draft contract for broadband expansion with CCI and compared the template to agreements used by nearby towns. Selectman Travis Fifield said he had not received the contract before the meeting and asked that the TM resend it for review; the TM resent the document during the Zoom meeting and said Consolidated staff were available to answer remaining technical questions.

Board members discussed fiscal implications as they worked through budget lines; TM and staff collected third-party and nomination paperwork with a Jan. 4 deadline for requests and articles. The board did not execute a contract during the meeting and requested additional time for review and clarification of contingency language that would address unexpected site or scope changes.
