Hull authorizes city attorney to negotiate settlement in special called meeting

The Hull Mayor and Council convened a special called meeting on Nov. 13 to address litigation matters and authorized the city attorney to pursue settlement negotiations.

After proper notice, the council voted (motion by Yvonne Davenport, second by Paige Phillips) to enter executive session to discuss pending litigation, then voted to come out of executive session. Following the closed session, the council approved a motion (mover Paige Phillips, second Yvonne Davenport) authorizing City Attorney Danny Love to enter into negotiations to compromise a "dubious claim" with Dale Perry; the minutes do not record a roll-call tally for that vote.
