Draft employment agreement would make Jerry Bryant Yerington city manager at $120,328 annual salary

The City of Yerington’s packet contains a proposed employment agreement to appoint Jeremy “Jerry” Bryant as City Manager for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2026. The draft sets an initial annual base salary of $120,328 and provides that the manager will participate in the city’s health benefits and PERS on the same terms as other employees.

The contract requires the manager to maintain a residence in the city and to attend council and other municipal meetings. It includes standard clauses on travel and professional development reimbursement, an annual performance evaluation by the City Council, and termination provisions: either party may terminate early; if the city terminates without cause the manager would receive 90 days’ notice and six months’ pay as severance under the draft.
