Selectmen approve temporary deck lease for Harbor View Restaurant

The Selectmen opened a public hearing on a Special Amusement application for Harbor View and heard from Gail Stinson, who identified herself as the new owner of the Harborview Restaurant and explained she was seeking authority to lease front space in front of the deck as a contingency if COVID conditions forced seating changes.

Town Manager Billings confirmed the application had been published in the paper of record and that the town had received no public comments. Selectman John Robbins asked whether the board could authorize the lease for a June–September window; Billings said the board could set whatever seasonal increments it preferred. Selectman John Steed moved to approve the lease space; John Robbins seconded the motion and the board approved it 4-0.
