Klamath County School Board adopts $166 million budget, approves handbook changes and roofing contract

The Klamath County School District board voted to adopt the 2026–27 budget and a tax rate of $4.0519, approving Resolution 2604 after a staff presentation of revenue and expenditure estimates. The adopted budget totals roughly $166,035,098 and includes a $2,350,290 general‑obligation bond debt service item.

The board also approved a package of routine and policy items by voice vote. That included acceptance of grant awards, revisions to the student rights and responsibilities handbook, and updates to athletic and activities handbooks. On facilities, staff recommended awarding the Bonanza Elementary roofing contract; the board voted to approve the award.
