Van Bibber Lake board hears wastewater plant upgrade estimate rise to about $15 million; grants sought

The Van Bibber Lake Conservancy Board discussed an updated estimate for a wastewater plant upgrade that the minutes show rose from approximately $12 million to about $15 million since February. Board members said grants and other funding sources remain under pursuit but did not record any funding decisions at the meeting.

The minutes indicate the board will continue pursuing grants and that an OCRA grant application may be needed; the board recorded intent to revisit grant applications in December 2026 when the district expects to qualify. No contract awards or formal commitments were recorded at the Jan. 17 meeting.
