Van Bibber Lake Conservancy approves office equipment purchase, wage increase and water-tower inspection

The board approved routine financial and operations items at the Feb. 21 meeting. Office manager Trisha McMannis presented December financials and the board voted to approve them. The board approved the purchase of a new office computer system, including two monitors, at a total cost of $1,989.85.

The board approved allowing Barb to take Fridays off (except the week before board meetings). Separately, the board approved a $1 hourly wage increase for office manager Trish McMannis, retroactive to Jan. 17, 2026, raising her pay to $26 per hour.

Water and wastewater operations staff reported eight lock-offs since the last meeting (five for leaks, three for nonpayment) and described preparations for metered billing, including Keystone system preparations and MIU meter assignments. Jeremy Staley recommended inspection of the water-tower fill pipe before considering full replacement; the board approved a $1,950 inspection by Kraus Inspection Services. Jeremy will obtain comparison quotes for repair options.

The minutes record discussion of the Zenner meter-reading and software contract, noting its two-year term and limited vendor alternatives, as the district prepares to implement volumetric billing.
