The Pharr Planning & Zoning Commission granted preliminary plat approval for a proposed 42.055-acre subdivision filed by Capot Farms, LTD for property in the 400 block of West Military Highway.
Edberto Martinez, Planner III for the City of Pharr, presented the application and said Development Services recommends preliminary plan approval of the proposed subdivision subject to conditions set by staff. Martinez noted the site is currently zoned Heavy Industrial (HI) and is designated for industrial use in the land-use plan. Phil Dyer, the applicant’s representative and manager for Capot Farms, was present in the audience and listed on the record as representing the applicant.
Commission discussion was brief; a commissioner moved to approve the preliminary plat and the motion carried on a voice vote. The record notes that variances were not requested and that approval is subject to the conditions outlined by Development Services.
