The Glendale Town Council adopted the fiscal year 2027 budget June 18, passing Resolution 6-18-26-1 after closing the public hearing and hearing brief comments thanking staff for preparing the document. Chair (speaker 1) read the proposed totals and noted the proposed operating expense and total revenue figures presented at the hearing.
Council members moved and approved a separate reconciliation of the 2026 budget so last year's accounting differences can be corrected. Speaker 2 moved to reconcile the 2026 budget; speaker 3 seconded the motion and the council voted in favor. The council then passed Resolution 6-18-26-1 for fiscal year 2027 by unanimous vote.
The council also adopted an updated Glendale consolidated fee schedule discussed at prior work meetings. After brief discussion the council moved and seconded adoption and approved the fee schedule unanimously.
On land-use business the council approved a rezoning request for Isaac Chamberlain, changing a parcel from residential agricultural (RA-10) to rural residential (RR) to allow a proposed three-way split of roughly 21 acres. The rezoning motion was moved, seconded and passed without opposition.
The council discussed a Community Impact Board (CIB) loan connected to recent water work: staff said the town's matching obligation is $90,000 repayable over 30 years at about 1% interest. Council members scheduled a short special meeting (to be held by Zoom next Thursday) to pass the CIB resolution and finalize required paperwork.
