Danielle presented the district 92s proposed 2026-27 consolidated application under the Every Student Succeeds Act, outlining priorities and program uses of federal funds and seeking board review before the Aug. 1 submission deadline.
She said the plan centers on four priorities: academic achievement; student support services; student engagement and well-being; and curriculum, instruction and family partnerships. Danielle noted the district will continue many prior interventions (including interventionists) and intends to transfer certain Title funds where allowable to increase local flexibility.
Danielle told the board that the district is replacing a costly planning software with Google Docs to retain teacher curriculum work while cutting software expenses. She described the application figures as preliminary and said final allocations and the required appropriation schedule will be included when the consolidated application returns to the board for approval.
During the meeting the board approved several personnel items. The board confirmed Lexi Dalton as a teacher at Madonna Middle School and Elizabeth Smith as a teacher at Warren Community School; both nominations were seconded and passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Danielle reminded the board that the consolidated application will be made available for public comment and that the submission deadline to the state is Aug. 1. Board members were invited to send questions to the presenter prior to final approval.
