Conway Corp warned that reservoir levels have dipped and urged residents to conserve water as holiday weekend temperatures rise. The utility said it remains in phase two of a water curtailment plan and reminded customers of limits on outdoor water use.
Conway Corp reported that reservoir elevation fell from about 320 feet to roughly 319.7 feet over the past week, a decline of roughly 0.3 foot. The company said phase two remains in effect; under that stage, private pools may be filled but city splash pads are not operating.
Brett Carroll, an agency official with Conway Corp, told THV 11 the utility is receiving about "a million gallons a day at no cost to taxpayers" from other sources and said he hopes conditions do not worsen. Carroll noted Conway has experienced droughts in 2012 and 2018, and said, "We've never been to phase three." He added that the community has historically gotten rain at needed times.
The report closed with practical conservation tips for residents: water lawns only three days a week (no watering on Wednesdays), run full loads for washing machines and dishwashers, and avoid washing cars at home.
No formal actions, votes, or regulatory changes were announced in the segment. The story was presented as a public-information update by THV 11 field reporter Tanya Motorzitsky.
