HOA declines late park-damage letter; will add newsletter notice and park signage

The Mountainaire HOA board determined at its May 22 meeting that a formal park‑damage letter would likely be ineffective because too much time has passed since the incidents. The minutes record that the board agreed with a prior statement from Jeff Rasmussen to that effect.

Caralee was assigned to prepare a short write‑up for the next neighborhood newsletter outlining the damage and actions being taken by the HOA to remediate the site. Channing volunteered to draft signage—similar to existing park entrance signs—to remind residents not to move rocks that protect a sensitive drainage system and present mower hazards. The board approved creating the signs on condition that the board reviews and signs off on the final wording before the signs go to print.

No formal vote or enforcement action was recorded on the park-damage messaging; the board’s decisions were to proceed with communications (newsletter and signage) and to review signage language prior to production.
