Beaufort County invites public to 2040 comprehensive plan meeting tonight

The Beaufort County Planning Department is inviting the public to an informational meeting about the county's 2040 comprehensive plan tonight from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the County Council Chambers at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort, the county broadcast reported.

Chloe G, the program presenter, said attendees can review proposed action items at stations staffed to answer questions and prioritize actions. The factors listed for review include economy, culture, housing, mobility, the natural environment, community facilities and the built environment. The broadcast noted new action items have been added and planners want public input to adjust priorities.

The county posted further information and the press release at beaufortcountysc.gov/news. Residents who wish to weigh in on policies guiding growth and services through 2040 were urged to attend or consult the county website for materials.
