At an emergency meeting on Feb. 28, 2026, the Village of Alvo Board of Trustees voted 3-0 to sign a resolution ordering a recall election and waived the three-reading requirement under Nebraska law, minutes show.
The resolution — described in the minutes as being taken “pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-1306” — was read aloud during the meeting. Vice Chair Larry Langer moved to approve the resolution and Trustee Dave Morgan seconded; the record shows a unanimous vote (Yes-3, No-0). Chair Chris Juilfs presided over the meeting.
Clerk/Treasurer Katherine Childers provided notice details for the emergency meeting, saying notice was given on Feb. 26, 2026 and posted at Village of Alvo Hall, Nebraska Digging, Jinco, Loeffler Outdoor Recreation LLC and on alvo.gov. The minutes state the board waived the statute’s three-reading requirement “to be procedurally uniform.”
The minutes do not specify the subject of the recall (who or what is to be recalled) or an election date. The record lists two vacant seats on the board. The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. and adjourned at 10:11 a.m.; Chair Juilfs moved to adjourn and Dave Morgan seconded. The minutes were completed by Clerk/Treasurer Katherine Childers with assistance from trainer Cathina Schueth, identified as a prior interim clerk/treasurer.
A complete set of minutes will be available at the Village of Alvo office or at alvo.gov after board approval, the minutes say.
