Mendon planning board chair says draft rules of procedure sent to attorney

At the meeting opening the Mendon Planning Board chair reported no administrative actions taken between meetings and said they had drafted a set of high‑level rules of procedure in response to a town code requirement.

The chair said the draft was sent to the board attorney, Mr. Young, for review and will be circulated to planning board members for comment. "I have drafted a a very high level rules of procedure and that's gone to Mr. Young as our attorney," the chair said, adding the draft is intended to formalize existing practices and follow the town code direction in section 260‑96B.

Board members were informed that once attorney review is complete the draft will be shared with the board for inputs and may eventually be put to a vote to adopt. The chair characterized the draft as mostly documenting current practice rather than creating new procedures.
