Warren Gray named planning commission representative to Agricultural Advisory Committee; development director to brief commission on code update

The Mariposa County Planning Commission on May 8 appointed Vice Chair Warren Gray to serve as the commission's representative on the Agricultural Advisory Committee.

During opening business, a commissioner said, "I would like to nominate Warren Gray." The nomination was seconded and the commission voted unanimously to appoint Gray.

Chair Art Baggett also introduced Greg Thomas as Mariposa County’s new development director; Thomas said he is several weeks into the role and is reviewing the county’s long‑running development code update. He told commissioners he plans to bring a report to the planning commission first so the commission can advise the board on next steps and whether to continue consultant work.

Administrative items: Commissioners noted there were no minutes presented for approval at the May 8 meeting. The commission confirmed its next meeting is scheduled for June 26 at 9:00 a.m., and Chair Baggett adjourned the session.
