Missoula County approves HDR task orders for Lolo RSID 901 water expansion and sewer resilience planning

Missoula County commissioners approved two task orders with HDR Engineering: Task Order 16 (up to $350,000) for engineering services to support Phase 2 water and sewer for Lolo RSID 901, and Task Order 17 (up to $30,000) to produce a Risk and Resilience Assessment (RRA) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP) required by federal rules for sewer treatment facilities.

A county staff member filling in for an absent colleague presented Task Order 16, saying the work would expand wells, transmission lines and add roughly 440 water connections to the RSID; staff emphasized the contract covers engineering services only, not construction or construction administration. "This is for the engineering not the project cost or the construction administration," Jason said.

The same presenter described Task Order 17 as a not-to-exceed $30,000 contract for HDR to prepare the RRA and ERP required by federal law (EPA) for sewer treatment facilities. Staff noted the RRA deadline at the end of June and said HDR will draft and submit the required plans to ensure compliance.
