Public service announcement: Fairfax County cooling assistance programs

Warmer weather has returned to the area and Fairfax County announced three cooling programs — Cooling assistance, Senior Cool Care and AC Rescue — that can provide new or repaired air-conditioning units or help pay electric bills for eligible low-income residents. The county said programs are free to qualifying participants and that eligibility depends on household income and ages of household members.
