The Willington Planning & Zoning Commission on June 16 received an application (PZ‑26‑7) from JT Property LLC for a 10,000‑square‑foot truck wash and a 30,000‑square‑foot storage building in the design‑commercial zone and noted the application includes traffic and stormwater reports.
Staff told members they provided a single site‑plan sheet for receipt and that the full packet with stormwater narrative and traffic studies will be presented during the public hearing. "We have copies of like the storm water narrative and traffic and you know some of the big reports which we'll present to you during the public hearing," the staff member said.
The commission discussed logistics for notice and scheduling; staff said state statute prescribes newspaper notice frequency, sign posting on the property is required and abutter notifications will be run. The first available meeting after notices could be July 7, but staff cautioned the timing could slip depending on the July 4 holiday and member availability.
Staff also offered to make paper copies of the site plan available for commissioners to review at home ahead of the hearing. No public testimony on the truck‑wash application was taken at this meeting; staff will schedule and run legal notices and report back with a confirmed hearing date.
Next steps: staff to coordinate notice publication, sign posting and abutter notifications and confirm a public hearing date once those steps are complete.
