Jam Coffee & Co., a neighborhood coffee shop at Miramonte Plaza, opened in recent weeks and is positioning itself as a community gathering spot, hosts said on Studio RPV.
A speaker identified on air as a Jam co-owner said the shop was a two-year project started by two Miramonte Elementary School parents and described building the business with a partner. “It was a conversation we had a couple of years ago as friends…we both live in the community,” the co-owner said, adding that the team “stuck with it and we built Jam together.”
Employee Kaylin, who said she attended Miramonte, described the menu: “We have coffees, espressos, breakfast items, pastries…we also have a coffee cart so that we can have a presence at events and parties.” Hosts noted the shop’s hours as Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., and Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Guest Melissa (on air) said the shop uses Stumptown Roasters and praised the offerings: “The coffee is delicious there…they are using Stumptown Roasters, which is a Portland-based company, but they have a roastery in Pasadena, so they source it local.”
Studio hosts framed Jam Coffee & Co. as a locally rooted small business: the shop’s founders and staff live in the neighborhood and said they opened the store to provide a nearby place to gather. The show also highlighted the shop’s specialty latte nicknamed the “Cadillac,” and said Jam has been busy since opening.
The on-air segment included an invitation for viewers to visit the store and noted the business plans to support local events with its coffee cart. No city approvals, permits, fines or other regulatory issues were mentioned on air.
