Selma council reports unanimous rejection of three government claims

At the start of its June 16 meeting the Selma City Council reported a closed-session action in which it unanimously voted to reject three government claims filed against the city. The city attorney told the council the claims brought by Jerome Keane, Lewis Franco and Lauren Edkins (the transcript includes alternate spellings) were rejected and that the attorney was directed to serve notice of that rejection on each claimant or their legal representative.

Council members asked for confirmation of the vote format and the city attorney confirmed the rejection was unanimous in closed session. The council then adjourned the special meeting and reconvened for its regular session.
