At its June 17 meeting the St John Board of Waterworks approved the May 20, 2026 minutes and two accounts-payable vouchers.
A voucher for the water district representing payroll, supplies, services and equipment totaling $50,141.89 was moved and seconded and approved by a voice vote recorded as 4-0. A second voucher for the water utility totaling $445,569.25 was likewise moved, seconded and approved 4-0. The meeting transcript does not identify individual yes/no votes by name for those motions.
Robinson Engineering's representative Dave reported that wells 8 and 9 are nearly complete: SCADA programming is finished with some fine-tuning remaining, pre-chlorination systems are in place and the team has been flushing toward the Gates Treatment Plant between rainstorms in preparation to place the wells in service.
Dave also reported on the Kill County altitude valve structure: the roof and walls are in place, bricks were expected to be delivered the day of the meeting, and the contractor is awaiting a valve fitting before pressure tests; he said the work could be complete by the end of July if weather and parts cooperate.
The board took no public comment and then adjourned.
