Bremer County supervisors approve routine business, appoint Veterans Affairs representative

At their June 16 meeting, the Bremer County Board of Supervisors approved routine business items and took several personnel and administrative actions.

The board approved the published agenda and the minutes from June 9 and June 12. Supervisors moved to approve claims and authorize audit-issued checks. A personnel action approved changing Brianna Watson from part-time to full-time status. The board also voted to place the 2026 primary election post-election audit report on file after staff said the audit showed no substantive changes from the election results.

The board nominated and approved Hector Mars to fill a vacancy on the Veterans Affairs commission. Supervisors discussed geographic representation on boards and commissions and asked staff to be mindful of countywide distribution when future vacancies arise.

All listed routine approvals and personnel appointments at the meeting were carried by voice vote with all present voting in favor.
