The Village of Shelton Board of Trustees on Jan. 15, 2026, adopted a package of resolutions authorizing technology purchases and local repairs. Trustees voted to approve the purchase of police records/reporting software (Resolution No. 26-01-15) from Platte Valley Communication of Kearney, Nebraska, at a purchase price not to exceed $3,320; Police Chief Clark said approximately 75% of that cost will be reimbursed by a grant.The board also approved Resolution No. 26-01-15A to install two-pack DEFEND security cameras, two DEFEND solar panels and a Premium Data Plan for the village disposal site at a village cost not to exceed $1,000. Library Director Crouse requested motorized roller shades for 13 high windows; the board adopted Resolution No. 26-01-15B to purchase and install the shades from Drapery Den, Inc. (Grand Island) for up to $4,200 using grant funds.Regarding the library lift project, engineer Larry Steele and Jim Warrington reported a punch list of remaining items that must be completed before the board will approve final payment to Sorensen Construction and Access Elevator.Further, the board adopted Resolution No. 26-01-15C to contract Saul Ramos Construction, Inc. (Shelton) to repair the intersection of C Street and Railroad Street for not to exceed $20,000. Trustees Keslar, Jensen and Oberg participated in the motions that carried each resolution; Trustee Rabbe was recorded as absent on the meeting roll. The meeting concluded after the board approved claims and adjourned at 7:27 P.M.
