Fremont County officials said producers of Viewpoint — a public‑television series introduced by Dennis Quaid — filmed a segment in the county on June 6 and interviewed local business owners and economic‑development leaders.
"They approached us and said, 'We've heard some really cool things are happening out there and we would like to tell your story,'" Commissioner Debbie Bell said on the One Fremont program. She said interviews included Cat Davidson of Observer Ranch, Rob Brown of the Fremont Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) and Sarah Hinckley of Barn Owl Precision Agriculture at Emergent Campus.
Bell said local film‑commission members Ben Black and Sage Goodwin contributed footage, including drone shots, and that the production team aimed to showcase outdoor recreation, emerging businesses and historic sites. The county expects a first draft of the five‑ to six‑minute piece in a few months and anticipates final delivery by late September or early October, with a planned world premiere at the historic Skyline Theater in downtown Florence.
Producers also plan a 30‑second social clip for promotional use. Bell relayed the producers’ audience estimate: "They say that about 80 million people see every segment that they produce." She cautioned that Dennis Quaid will likely contribute the introduction and may not appear on location.
County officials said they will review the draft and request edits if needed before final release. The segment, when broadcast on public television, will be publicly available for local use, they said.
