Chris, speaking for the Riversport Foundation, gave the authority a quarterly report on programming and upcoming events at the Riversport facility.
Chris highlighted recent competitive successes — youth rowing teams qualified for nationals and a dragon-boat team earned division trophies — and said Riversport hosted 752 athletes for a regional qualification event recently. He reported a guest-service score of 86 (the foundation’s goal is 87) and described new landscape-design work with CLS across the site's 110 acres.
On events, Chris said Riversport will host the Stars and Stripes festival on June 27 and a LA28 day-of-sport on June 23 featuring a sit-volleyball Olympian and USA Softball activities for kids. He also said the ICF World Championships will run July 20–25, with training beginning in early July, and estimated about 350 athletes from roughly 60 countries participating.
Trustees praised the hosting and outreach; no board action was requested. Chris thanked the board and staff and encouraged trustees to attend events that will bring athletes and visitors to the city.
