Cedarville council adopts amended 2002 budget and approves 2003 budget

The Cedarville City Council adopted an amended budget during its August meeting and approved the 2003 budget at the December meeting after prior discussion and adjustments.

In August the council presented and adopted an amended budget (motion recorded as passed 4-0). Throughout the fall the mayor and council worked on the 2003 budget; the minutes show budget changes discussed in November and final approval of the 2003 budget in December with a unanimous vote.

Council members noted budget priorities that included road work (with approximately $30,000 in FEMA funds mentioned earlier in the year) and planning for the proposed clinic. The minutes do not include line-item budget detail in the published minutes; council members indicated the final changes would be finalized in the December meeting before formal adoption.

The council recorded all relevant motions and approvals in the minutes and assigned follow-up administrative tasks for budget implementation and monitoring.
