Council approves May minutes, hears committee reports and adjourns

The Bolivar City Council approved minutes from its May meeting, heard standing committee and department reports, and adjourned after a motion to close the meeting passed.

Clerks called roll and council members recorded their presence. The electric board reported its fiscal year 2027 budget was approved and moved its June meeting to June 25. Utilities reported required annual hydrant flushing, a FAMZA grant engineering submission and two gas-line petitions to be studied for feasibility. Parks and Recreation and the library gave routine activity reports, including a kids fishing rodeo and summer reading kickoff. The meeting ended after a motion to adjourn was moved by Mr. Kenned and seconded by Miss Miller; the motion passed.
