The Coos County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt budget resolutions for the county and two service districts for fiscal year 2026–27 during a regularly scheduled meeting.
The board opened the Library Service District meeting and approved Resolution 26-06-072B to adopt the district’s budget and make appropriations. Commissioners then opened and approved the 4‑H/extension service district budget (Resolution 26-06-073B). After those actions the board reconvened as the county commission and approved the county’s budget resolution (Resolution 266071D). Each measure passed by motion, second and voice vote with no members recorded as opposed.
The board noted that the advisory budget committee includes three lay members and that one lay seat will be vacated because a current lay member will move into a commissioner seat; commissioners encouraged interested members of the public to apply for the open lay seat. Commissioners said the advisory process includes public participation through multiple budget meetings and that final approval rests with the board.
The meeting record shows the three resolutions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. No public members spoke against adoption during the open comment periods for those items. The board returned to other agenda business after adopting the budgets.
