Hilton Head High valedictorian urges graduates to "use freedom to find and follow your passions"

BCTV aired a clip from Hilton Head High School's graduation featuring valedictorian Elizabeth Markowitz, who urged classmates to "use [freedom] to find and follow your passions."

"Once we cross this stage tonight, we will be gaining a lot of freedom," Markowitz said in the excerpt. "Freedom to choose what we do, where we live, who we spend our time with, and so much more. ... The one thing I do want to say about freedom is to always use it to find and follow your passions."

The station said it covered all six Beaufort County public high school graduations and directed viewers to youtube.com/atbeaufortcountytv for full videos. The broadcast presented the clip as a short highlight and did not include further remarks from school officials within the aired segment.
