Board approves several routine warrants: AC replacement, appointment, minutes, payables and tax warrants

The Selectboard moved through a set of routine administrative actions in the public session, approving contract awards, appointments, minutes and tax warrants.

Fire station AC: after reviewing quotes, the board awarded the contract to AJ LeBlanc for $10,131.56 to replace the fire station’s condenser and approved funding the work from the expendable trust fund for municipal buildings.

Appointment: the board voted to appoint Officer Mike Lavoy as emergency management director; the motion was made and seconded and recorded in the public minutes.

Minutes and payables: the board approved the June 1 public and nonpublic minutes and signed an accounts‑payable manifest in the amount of $10,389.80.

Tax warrants and small revenues: the board signed a land‑use change tax warrant to collect $3,000 for Calgary McKenzie (three acres removed from a building lot) and approved an excavation tax warrant for $72.24. The board also addressed a 2026 dog‑license warrant listing 254 unregistered dogs and authorized collection procedures.

Why it matters: these votes finalize procurement, personnel and revenue items necessary to keep town operations running and to ensure the fire station and municipal facilities are maintained.

Next steps: staff will execute the contract paperwork for the AC unit, update appointment rosters, and proceed with collection and accounting for the tax and dog‑license warrants.
