CHSD 99 board approves consent agenda, appoints new board secretary and authorizes driver‑education vehicle purchase

The CHSD 99 Board of Education on June 15 approved its consent agenda, which included routine personnel appointments and resignations, acceptance of donations, and a purchase authorization for two driver-education vehicles with a not‑to‑exceed amount of $80,000.

The consent agenda also included the appointment of Eevee Sherman as board secretary effective July 1, 2026. The board moved and seconded the consent agenda after the chair asked whether any items should be pulled; no items were removed for separate discussion.

Roll-call votes were recorded and the motion carried. Board members who registered votes during the consent action included Chris Espinosa, Ken Dawson, Michael Riskey, Cara Casten, Katie Courtourtney and Don Rener.

Donations accepted under the consent agenda included gifts from the District 99 Education Foundation and the Downers Grove Wolfpack. The district’s treasurer's report for May and financial pages were also accepted as part of the consent vote.

By bundling these routine personnel and financial items in a single consent motion, the board completed multiple administrative tasks in one vote; members and administration did not request separate hearings for any items listed on the consent agenda.
