County executive staff and finance personnel used the June 15 meeting to flag operational issues and upcoming initiatives. Amy, an executive staff member, reported progress in sheriff's office hiring but said the county still has "approximately 25" corrections-officer vacancies; several deputies are scheduled for the academy in the fall.
Finance staffer Teresa Grover said the county completed the payroll cutover to TCP on the prior Friday with no payroll errors but with a few configuration issues that were corrected; staff are running dual payroll for an additional week while they finish year-end and audit preparations. "We came across the finish line with TCP, our new payroll software on Friday," she said.
Brianna provided an update on a proposed regional code enforcement officer program, saying she expects the state funding to be available by the end of the summer and that the pilot would run three years to collect implementation data and evaluate regional service models.
The board heard these operational updates before moving into executive session; commissioners thanked finance and operations staff for their work and emphasized the importance of regional coordination on emergency and municipal services.
