Atoka City Council and the town’s related municipal authorities met in a series of morning sessions and approved routine consent items across five bodies, officials said.
The City Council approved three consent items — the minutes of June 1, 2026, the city manager’s report and purchase orders for May 2026 — after no requests to remove items for separate consideration. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and, on a roll-call vote, Councilmembers Mr. Cheryl, Miss McGee, Mr. McDaniel and Mr. Cathy voted yes; the motion carried.
The Atoka Municipal Authority, Atoka Industrial Development Authority, Industrial Facilities Authority and the Atoka City Airport Authority Trust each convened and approved their respective consent agendas, including minutes, director/manager reports and May purchase orders. Roll-call votes recorded unanimous approval in each body.
Items listed on the consent agendas were largely procedural — approving prior minutes, routine staff reports and procurement actions for May 2026. No item was removed from the consent calendars for extended debate during the morning session.
The series of approvals left the assemblies free to address a pulled business item in the Industrial Facilities Authority meeting — a sports complex manager report — which the council considered before approving that report and adjourning the morning session.
