Decatur City Council adopts FY2026 midyear budget adjustments, adds equipment and small capital items

The Decatur City Council unanimously approved FY2026 midyear budget adjustments and added three supplemental items to the midyear resolution: one sanitation trailer for $102,000, wind screens for Parks & Recreation tied to a Jimmy John's site for $19,400, and a greens roller at Point Mard for $25,000.

Finance staff presented the midyear adjustment package and said a recent ‘‘Gazsby’’ change requires revisiting some revenue assumptions; staff reviewed the adjustments presented in the premeeting and confirmed the three additions for council awareness. Mr. Deester (city finance/administration staff) briefed the council and offered to answer further questions during the formal meeting.

Council members moved and seconded the midyear package and voted 3–0 to adopt Resolution 26181. Staff said they will continue monitoring revenues and bring any additional adjustments back to council as warranted.
