Washington County Board approves grants, budget amendments and $6 million bonds for roads and bridges

The Washington County Board of Supervisors adopted a package of Resolutions Nos. 131–153 on May 15, 2026, approving grant-related SEQR actions, capital-project amendments, multiple budget adjustments, staffing-pattern changes and a $6,000,000 bond authorization for road and bridge work.

Highlights of the adopted items include designation of the Board as lead agency and a negative declaration under the State Environmental Quality Review Act for a proposed snowmobile trail grant (Res. 131–132); capital project amendments and Marchiselli grant appropriations for transportation projects and bridge work (Res. 138–142); budget amendments for Public Health, Office for the Aging and Public Safety (Res. 143–145); approval to purchase cybersecurity licenses via Sourcewell Contract #121923-SHI (Res. 148); authorization to sign County Infrastructure Grant documents and amend Planning budget (Res. 149); staffing changes in Social Services and the County Clerk’s office (Res. 150–151); authorization to sell county land (Res. 152); and a two-thirds roll call adoption of $6,000,000 in serial bonds for county roads and bridges (Res. 153). The board also accepted the May Audit Report and the Mortgage Tax Warrant earlier in the session. Several measures were adopted with little debate; the minutes record movers and seconders for each resolution and the roll-call outcomes as printed in the official condensed minutes.
