Thorndike voters elected Amber Hamblet to the Select Board for a three-year term at the town’s annual meeting held March 13–14, 2026. Ballots were cast March 13 with polls open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; vote totals reported were Amber Hamblet 75, Christopher Lewis 63 and one write-in for Gary Hazzard, for 139 total votes.
The meeting also selected a moderator by secret ballot. Rose Hill won the initial ballot (reported 3-0) and presided. The meeting recessed to reconvene March 14; Rose Hill later stepped down and Don Berry was nominated and elected moderator by secret ballot (reported 5-0). The moderator conducted routine procedural business and administered the swearing-in of incoming Select Board member Amber Hamblet.
