Beaufort County announced a series of committee and special meetings on its BCTV news broadcast, including a 2 p.m. Finance and Administration Economic Committee session and a 3 p.m. Public Facilities Committee meeting in the County Council Chambers at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort.
County Council is set to hold a special-called meeting at 6 p.m. in the same chambers, with a virtual participation site established at the Conservancy at Palmetto Bluff. Broadcasts of the sessions will appear on BCTV and be simulcast on the county’s YouTube channel, the program said.
County Council member York Glover (District 3) will host a public meeting regarding an upcoming Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority project at Penn Center. The meeting is scheduled for June 16 from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at Penn Center’s Frizelle Hall, 16 Penn Center Circle E. According to the announcement, BJWSA representatives will be available to review the project map, discuss existing conditions and the tentative work schedule, and answer questions from attendees.
The broadcast directed residents to agenda packets and a county press release for more information at beaufortcountysc.gov/agendas and beaufortcountysc.gov/news. No formal votes or council actions were reported during the segment.
What’s next: The county’s announcement frames the Penn Center meeting as an informational public update; attendees may be able to ask questions directly of BJWSA representatives at the June 16 session.
