A town staff member said the Randolph Township Environmental and Landmark Committee will dedicate an "Independence Tree," a commemorative oak, at the entrance to Veterans Community Park on June 29 at 12:00 noon.
Organizers also announced a community live reading of the Declaration of Independence on Wednesday, July 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Randolph Library. The three‑day festival runs Thursday, July 9 through Saturday, July 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each evening at County College of Morris, parking lot one. Organizers said the festival will feature live music, amusements, carnival games, food, fireworks and a beer garden.
Brundage Park Playhouse will host Americana Bandstand at Veterans Community Park, bringing 250 years of American music with multiple performances: two shows at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, and three shows at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. Pre‑registration is $10 per person; on‑site tickets are $15.
Officials closed the announcement by inviting residents to join the town’s semiquincentennial celebrations and to look for additional event details from Randolph Township.
