The Sheboygan County Local Emergency Planning Committee on June 12 approved a series of emergency off‑site plans for industrial and manufacturing sites while tabling a hospital plan for later review.
Phil Ditter moved to approve the FINAL Emergency Off‑Site Plan for Acuity Insurance at 2800 South Taylor Drive; Jason Liermann seconded and the motion carried. Ditter then moved, and Tom Hass seconded, to approve the revised Emergency Off‑Site Plan for Johnsonville Sausage at N6928 Johnsonville Way in Sheboygan Falls, which the committee approved as amended. Jason Liermann moved, and Charlette Nennig seconded, to approve a NEW Emergency Off‑Site Plan for Plymouth Foam at 1800 Sunset Drive in Plymouth; that motion carried.
The committee also approved two separate new off‑site plans for Torginol: one for 4617 South Taylor Drive, as amended (moved by Phil Ditter, seconded by Charlette Nennig), and another for 3217 Behrens Parkway (moved by Phil Ditter, seconded by Peter Madden), both of which carried. A motion by Jason Liermann, seconded by Phil Ditter, approved a new Emergency Off‑Site Plan for Diamond Vogel at 710 Forest Avenue in Sheboygan Falls, as amended.
Committee members voted to TABLE a new Emergency Off‑Site Plan for HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital at 3100 Superior Avenue. The motion to table was made by Tom Hass and seconded by Jason Liermann.
The actions were taken without recorded roll‑call tallies in the meeting minutes; minutes state only that each motion “carried” except the hospital plan, which was tabled. The committee proceeded to adjourn at 8:45 a.m.
