Green Bay to launch inaugural Kids Day Carnival July 30 at Bay Beach Amusement Park

The Green Bay Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Mayor Eric Genrich's office, announced that it will combine two longstanding community celebrations into the inaugural Green Bay Kids Day Carnival, presented by Children's Wisconsin and scheduled for Thursday, July 30 at Bay Beach Amusement Park.

The move merges Green Bay Kids Day — which the department said has run for more than 20 years — with the Kitty Carnival, a Parks and Recreation staple the announcement described as having run for more than a hundred years. The department said the combined event will continue the traditions of both gatherings and offer "a day of free fun honoring the kids who make our community great."

Organizers said attendees can expect homemade booths, carnival games and other end-of-summer activities run by park staff. The department identified Children's Wisconsin as the presenting sponsor of the first annual Green Bay Kids Day Carnival.

The department announced the event location and date: Bay Beach Amusement Park on Thursday, July 30. The announcement described the celebration as free and invited families to attend.
