The Governance & Utilities Committee on June 11 advanced personnel items including the recommendation to confirm Sarah Champ to the Seattle Public Utilities customer panel and the committee endorsement of nine Community Technology Advisory Board (CTAB) appointments and reappointments.
Clerk read Appointment 03510 for Sarah Champ, who could not attend. Justin Chan introduced Champ as a waste-reduction analyst with Kitsap County and described her background in infrastructure and equitable access to utility services. Chair Hollingsworth moved the appointment, the motion was seconded, and the clerk recorded a 5–0 committee vote recommending confirmation; the committee sent the appointment to the June 16 full council meeting.
The committee also considered nine CTAB appointments and reappointments. Nominees (including Rajat Aggarwal, Colin Sanders, Friday O. Enabulele, Venita Subramanian and Kathleen Rohde) each introduced themselves and described experience in community technology, digital equity, A.I. and public engagement. Councilmembers thanked nominees and noted conflicts of interest or recusal considerations where applicable. Following introductions and brief Q&A, the committee moved to recommend confirmation of the CTAB slate and recorded an affirmative committee vote; the appointments will be forwarded to the full council.
