Jackson rent board reappoints leadership and adopts revised forms

At the start of the June 11 meeting the board sworn in members and held a brief reorganization. Joseph Sullivan was nominated and approved as board chair and Ed Jacowski was approved as vice chair after roll-call votes. The board then moved on to routine business items including minutes and bills.

Later in the meeting the board reviewed updated owner application forms for rent increases and rent-decrease petitions. Members voted unanimously to approve the revised forms, which make technical edits to statutory references and remove references to property taxes for manufactured homes in line with state law; the board chair said the forms will be sent to the township clerk and IT staff for publication.

Procedural items concluded with the board opening public comment and then moving to an executive session on litigation before adjourning.
