Board approves renovation of existing pool at 35 Dawn Drive with professionals’ stipulations

At the start of the public portion the board confirmed a carried matter for Hailey, Andrew and Kimberly for Block 4002 Lot 35 (ZB-26-004) involving bulk variances tied to a pool renovation. Applicants said the current application mirrored an earlier, previously approved plan from 2021 and that the new work will keep the same pool footprint while widening coping and updating landscaping.

Board professionals (Mr. Schley and Mr. Quinn) noted mostly housekeeping items and a nonconforming solid front-yard fence; applicants agreed to comply with the professionals’ letters and to ensure any new fence meets the 50 percent visibility standard. A neighbor speaker expressed support for the project.
