At its June 12 meeting the Boone County Board of Education took the following formal actions.
Consent agenda: The board approved recommended consent agenda items A–W; the motion passed 3–1. One board member said their dissent concerned data‑privacy and cost concerns about a product referenced as Panorama.
Policy revisions: The board approved revisions to several policies on second reading (policy codes recited during the meeting); the motion carried unanimously.
Meeting schedule: The board approved the Boone County Board of Education meeting dates for the 2026–27 school year and noted state guidance now requires agendas to be listed in Central Time as well as Eastern Time; approval was unanimous.
Discipline code: The board approved the district code of acceptable behavior and discipline for 2026–27; trustees praised the multi‑year effort behind the handbook updates and approved the item unanimously.
G.O. bond resolution: The board approved a general obligation bond resolution to purchase and renovate a preschool center; presenters said bids for the project came in under estimate and the board approved the resolution by vote.
Insurance procurement and resolution: The board approved the consultant's recommendation to select USI as broker and Liberty Mutual and other carriers for property/casualty coverage (option one) and approved Resolution 2026‑02 authorizing the superintendent to execute contracts; both measures passed unanimously. The board also approved creating a restricted account to prefund deductible obligations.
Adjournment: The board adjourned by unanimous vote.
