The Glen Ridge Board of Education approved a series of routine and consent items during its public meeting, including prior meeting minutes, administrative reappointments, personnel actions, curriculum items and business items.
Motion M1 to approve minutes from the May 13 meeting was moved by Joselyn and seconded by Anthony; the clerk conducted a roll-call vote and the chair announced the motion carries. Subsequent motions included Kristen's motion to approve administrative items A1'through A39, Anthony's motion for personnel items (P1'P31 and addendum items P3, P5, P14, P32), and Trisha's motion to approve curriculum items C1'C6. Each motion was seconded and adopted after the clerk performed roll-call voting.
Kristen also moved business items B1'through B21 (including donor acknowledgements); the board discussed that the volume of admin items at the last meeting of the school year is routine and intended to reappoint vendors and conduct standard year-end business. The clerk called the roll for those motions and the chair declared the motions carried.
Why it matters: These votes completed the board's formal end-of-year business and authorized staff and vendor reappointments, personnel changes and curriculum items necessary for the coming school year. The personnel items were discussed in executive session as required by board policy and were approved by roll-call vote in open session.
Next steps: Items approved on consent will be reflected in district records and posted in meeting minutes; several items relate to summer implementation and will be handled by district administration.
