Board approves transit IGA, funding amendment for school-based mental health, lease modification and appointment of interim counsel

The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved a set of routine and add-on items by voice vote during its June 4 formal session.

Items approved included:

- Intergovernmental agreement (I1) between Yamhill County Transit and the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde for fixed-route service effective upon full execution through June 30, 2030; motion moved and passed by voice vote.

- Amendment No. 9 (I2) to the provider services agreement between Yamhill County Health & Human Services and the county's Community Care Organization, adding $45,535.17 in funding to Lutheran Community Services for school-based outpatient mental-health services, effective July 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2026. Staff clarified the CCO intended to contract directly but requested the county act as a pass-through.

- Board order (I3) approving a lease modification with JJSS Property LLC for the Kirby Street property that terminates Board Order 22-383 for portions vacated after relocating developmental disabilities and veteran services; the remaining tenant is public health.

- Add-on appointment (I4) to appoint interim county counsel as required under statute; staff noted the board must approve this appointment for the interim lawyer to act as legal counsel.
