Apple Valley Unified board moves into closed session for superintendent evaluation; reports no action

The Apple Valley Unified Board of Trustees convened at 10:00 a.m. and voted to enter a closed session to discuss the superintendent's evaluation, returning at 1:30 p.m. with no reportable action and adjourning shortly after.

The board first approved the meeting agenda by roll-call vote after a member moved to adopt the agenda and another seconded. Trustees Renee Longshore, Rick Raleigh, Anita Tucker, Maria Akara and President Amanda Buchanan each voted in the affirmative.

A staff member asked whether any public comments had been submitted for the closed-session item; none were received. The board then moved to enter closed session "to discuss the following item one, superintendent evaluation."
